Instant noodle pasta line can produce 680–850 lbs/hr (308–385 kg/hr) of a “puffed” noodle product at various widths and lengths. This “pre-coated” noodle can be used for instant soups and other “instant” noodle foods. The line was installed and running in mid-1986 and operated until 1992. Ninety per cent of the product contact surfaces are stainless steel. The remaining 10% is polished aluminium or food-grade plastics.
The line includes:
- Bulk ingredient bins with automatic pneumatic feed systems.
- “Demaco” continuous pre-mixer, mixer and sheeting line.
- “E.E.C” steam cooking tunnel, radiant heat drying tunnel and air impingement dryer.
- “Demaco” slitter/cutter with three splitting discs.
- “Buhler MIAG” vacuum noodle conveyor system.
- “Proctor-Schwartz” gas-fired, fluid bed type drier, swivel loading conveyor and gas-fired final drier.
- “Meyer” bucket conveyors and “E.E.C” custom conveyors. Packaging equipment not available.
