Biodiesel Plant with Capacity 100,000 TPY made by Desmet

Description

Used biodiesel plant manufactured by Desmet Ballestra during 2007–2008 with a capacity of approximately 100,000 tonnes per year, shut down in 2009.
The plant included the following sections when commissioned:
- Oil Pretreatment: Acid degumming, continuous oil neutralising/stripping, barometric water cooling system, high-pressure steam heating system.
- Biodiesel Production: Methyl ester and glycerine production, transesterification, methyl ester/glycerine separation, methanol rectification, glycerine purification and concentration, citric acid preparation, oil drying, additives dosing.
- Acid Esterification.
Currently only available in situ. The plant is not complete; it requires approximately 50% restoration of the biodiesel line and 20% restoration of the refining line.
