Used plant for the production of d-limonene, pectin and citrus aroma. Built in 2008 to produce raw materials for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, using orange peel and oil residues.
The plant consists of three lines as follows:
- Limonene line for obtaining D-Limonene (extraction of citrus peels' essential oil);
- Citrus pectin line for obtaining bioflavonoids;
- Squalene line for obtaining squalene from olein (essential oil component from olive oil).
MAIN EQUIPMENT
- Equipment for limonene and pectin lines includes: conveyors, belt press, two mills, eleven reactors, rectification column, seven condensers, six decanter filters, two hoppers, mass pump, decanter, clarifier filter, one basket centrifuge*, homogenisation and drier equipment*, two bagging machines*.

- Equipment for squalene line includes: nine tanks, four reactors, one centrifuge, four heat exchangers.
- Equipment serving both process lines: steam boiler, two cooling towers, air compressor, air dryer, boiler tank, wastewater unit.
