75mm Werner & Pfleiderer Conical Counter-Rotating Twin Screw Extruder

Description

Used Werner & Pfleiderer conical counter-rotating twin screw extruder. Type # CRP 104, serial # 180115, project # 84 3220. Screws are 102.2 mm at feed, tapering to 75.5 mm at discharge. Approximately 17:1 L/D ratio (screws are 1569 mm long). Unit is powered by a 7.5 HP Reliance DC motor, 1750/2300 rpm and has an Allen Bradley programmable controller. Screw shaft speed 6–60 rpm. 41" centreline height, electric heat, liquid cooled, with temperature control panel. Machine was originally designed and built for continuous polymerisation and extrusion of nylon type strand.
