USED 440MM SF/YEAR ORIENTED STRAND BOARD (OSB) PLANT FOR SALE CONSISTING OF THE FOLLOWING: Mill Area: Equipment/System: Mill Capacity and Pressing: Mill capacity at ~440 MMsf/yr, based on mix heavy to sheathing. 8' x24' - 12 opening thermal oil heated Pathex press, relifed by Dieffenbacher in 2004. Oil hydraulic system. Dieffenbacher filling OEM role. Log Consumption: Consumes about 650,000 green tons/yr, received in pulpwood length. Aspen, birch and other hardwoods. Logyard, scale and storage: Trucks deliver logs into contracted logyard, across road from main mill. Contractor uses swing machines to feed two log thaw pond infeed magazines.. Green End: 2 @ Nicholson A5 @ 27" debarkers. 3 @ CAE 37/118 Disc Stranders with infeed storage decks and batch feeders. Drying: 3 @ PS&E 10,000 cu.ft. green strand storage bins feed 2 @ MEC 13 X 60 dryers and 1 @ Westec 13 X 60 dryer (3 total systems). MEC dry fuel prep & metering system, fire McConnell suspension burners, provide most of the dryers heat, supplimented by GTS hog fuel fired energy system. Screening: 3 @ PS&E rotary trommel screens. Dry Storage and Blending: 2 @ 10,000 ft3 PS&E bins, 2 @ Coil 10' x 30' liquid blenders w/ Coil EL4 atomizers. Mill uses Surf & Core liquid phenolic resins and emulsified wax. Forming and Orienting: Schenck 8' wide, 4 head forming line, with Schenck orienting formers on "Flexoplan" steel mesh cauls. Pressing: 8' x 24' x 12 opening Pathex thermal oil heated press. Press platens drilled for steam injection or venting - set up to vent. Finishing: 4' Globe sawline, with 8' master panel feed and breakdown. Sander/T&G line allows production of sanded flooring.
