Chip Bunkers :
One chips bunker feed the crystallizer/dryer, there is one bunker per machine, capacity in the order of 1,500 lbs.
Crystallizer/Dryer :
One chip crystallizer/dryer vessel capacity about 1,500 lbs per machine. Agitator and individual heater are included. All stainless steel ( manufacturer NOY Engr. ).
Air Treatment Plant :
One air treatment plant for supplying dry air to condition chips, complete with blowers, filters and desiccant bed, regeneration loop, and controls ( include a PC for communication and monitoring ).
Extrusion :
One 110 mm Barmag 24:1 extruder ( vintage 1993, std. Barmag LTM mixer screw ), with a 60 Hp A/C motor, 80 rpm maximum speed. Five heating zones, plus throat cooling loop. Dowtherm heated extruder head with polymer screen filter, pressure, and polymer temperature sensors, dowtherm heated transfer line to two main dowtherm boilers
From main dowtherm boilers to 4 spin heads each having 2 positions of 6 ends, spin head and the transfer lines are dowtherm heated from main boilers. Each position has a pump block for one 6 port planetary pumps 1.2 CC/rev per port ( Feinpruef ), each pump feeds one 6 individual packs with a 100 mm oval spinneret, polymer pump motor of 2 hp and gearbox. Polymer melt pressure and temperature monitor points located at the extreme heads. Each spinneret has 34 holes arranged in a single array. Discrete controls for temperature and pressure set up. Two a/c inverters to drive the polymer pump motors ( one for second product ). One A/C drive system for extruder motor.
Quench :
One Salmoiraghi quench cabinet per pos. 1.2 meters wide by 40 inches long. A binder screen pack is used to feed quench air to filaments, three mechanical dampers control quench air flow to the thread lines, perforated plate door. Metered stream finish application on a variable position tree one pump of 0.08 cc/rev pump per position (6 ports). Two a/c inverters to drive the finish pumps.
Take Up :
Down tube with air jet box and mist removal system hook up, dual Slack and Parr jet set up ( one box two threadlines ), with pressure controls and system for pre-heating the air jet supply air.
One winder per position parallel to the quench cabinet. Barmag CW7R 1,200/6, ( vintage 1993 ) with WIS system incorporated, ( that is inverter controls included at the back of the winder ) 6 ends per chuck, 170 mm stroke birotor traverse system. Maximum mechanical speed 7,000 m/minute, running speed for product 2,800 m/minute winder maximum package size is 435 mm. Current bobbin is 125 mm id x 200 mm long x 5 mm thick. Total winders per line is 16. All necessary guides and parts needed to run this winders are in place.
Line capacity :
Current line is set up to run 6 end per position or 96 ends per 16 position machine, this gives a gross output of about 272 lbs. per hour (40 denier POY). Line can run from 40 to 70 denier multifilament POY fibers.
