Unused industrial desiccant rotary dehumidifier / air handling system designed for high-capacity humidity control and low-dew-point process applications.
System is rated for approximately 15,000 m³/hr (8,830 CFM) supply airflow and incorporates a large rotary desiccant wheel with separate process and reactivation air streams. Reactivation is accomplished using steam heating, making the system suitable for facilities with an available plant steam supply.
Unit is constructed as an integrated modular air-handling package with insulated enclosure, service access doors, filtration and conditioning sections, process and reactivation blowers, desiccant rotor assembly and PLC/operator controls.
Specifications:
- Type: Desiccant rotary dehumidifier / air handling system
- Supply air capacity: 15,000 m³/hr / approximately 8,830 CFM
- Fresh air capacity: 1,500 m³/hr / approximately 883 CFM
- Reactivation airflow: 4,580 m³/hr / approximately 2,695 CFM
- Supply fan motor: 15 kW
- Reactivation fan motor: 5.5 kW
- Desiccant rotor drive: 0.2 kW
- Combined listed motor power: 20.7 kW
- Reactivation heat source: Steam
- Approximate reactivation steam consumption: 297 kg/hr
- Approximate post-heating steam consumption: 59.4 kg/hr
- Integrated Siemens HMI/operator interface
- Large rotary desiccant wheel
- Multiple filter/coil and air-conditioning sections
- Modular insulated air-handler construction
- Approximate dimensions: 7,510 × 2,120 × 2,280 mm
- Approximate footprint: 24.6' × 7.0'
Potential applications include pharmaceutical production, lithium-ion battery manufacturing, food processing, confectionery, plastics, cold storage, drying rooms, electronics, chemical production and other humidity-sensitive manufacturing processes.
