The line shaft is equipment with adjustable cone pulleys and nylon belts driving the individual machine sections through Western Gear right angle gear reducers with Fawick air clutches. The lumpbreaker roll and Lamb cutter layboy are driven by individaual DC electric Drives. The Flakt is driven by individual VFD's. The machine drive is by Industrial Electric, vintage 1988. An Avtron speed and draw system is used for monitoring and controlling individual section speeds.
