Used PET polymerisation plant consisting of (2) lines for production of PET chips and staple fiber. The plant was built in 1996 using John Brown Deutsche Engineering technology and mothballed in 2024.
The approximate capacity of each line is 220 to 240 tons/day (name plate capacity 180 tons/day).
Line D:
PTA powder and MEG along with recycled EG is mixed in paste tank. This then goes through 2 stages of esterification to produce monomer. Monomer is converted to polymer in 2 stage polycondensation process.
Polymer melt is then divided into 2 lines: one line goes to 180 TPD granulation system to make PET chips, and one line goes to 25 TPD spinning and draw line for woven and non-woven commodity and speciality staple fiber products of 1.3, 2.3, 3 and 6D
Line E
PTA powder and MEG along with recycled EG is mixed in paste tank. This then goes through 2 stages of esterification to produce monomer. Monomer is converted to polymer in 2 stage polycondensation process.
Polymer melt is then divided into 2 lines: one line goes to 180 TPD granulation system to make PET chips, and one line goes to 120 TPD spinning machines (2) and Neumag Oerlikon draw line for regular commodity staple fiber of 1.3D.
