Used steam boiler with a capacity of 10 tonnes per hour, manufactured by Babcock Wanson in 1998 and decommissioned in 2019. The design pressure is 12 kg/cm² (approximately 12 bar / 170 psi) and the maximum operating pressure is 10 kg/cm² (approximately 10 bar / 142 psi).
Fuelled by liquid biomass including animal fat, vegetable fat, bio-heating oils, and fuel oil.
The system includes a thermal oxidiser that reportedly burns at over 850 degrees Celsius for more than 2 seconds and complies with European legislation for incineration.
Equipment list: 35 m³ insulated and heated tank, fuel pump, burner, Babcock Wanson oxidation chamber, Babcock Wanson recovery boiler (10 tonnes per hour steam production), induced draft fan, heat exchanger, purge tank, water tank, boiler feed pumps, steam collector, fireplace, control and auxiliary components, control panel.
Also available, if required, is the steam distribution equipment, which includes steam collector, piping, steam purge valves, steam flow meter, etc.
