Edible Oil Refinery 480 Tonnes Per Day

Description

Used edible oil refinery with a capacity of approximately 480 tonnes/day. Technology utilised includes Desmet and Westfalia.
The plant consists of three lines with the following sections:

Bleaching - Decolouration:
- Lines 1 & 2 capacity 400 tonnes/day;
- Line 3 capacity 250 tonnes/day.

Deodourisation:
- Line 1 capacity 200 tonnes/day;
- Line 2 capacity 200 tonnes/day;
- Line 3 capacity 250 tonnes/day.

Distillation:
- Column for 250 tonnes/day (normally used with line 3);
- Column for 300 tonnes/day.

The plant also includes a chemical refining line with five Westfalia separators as follows: two RSA80-01-076 and three RTA140-01-076. Used for chemical degumming (with or without phosphoric acid), caustic neutralisation, and washing at 90 degrees Celsius.

NB – The plant is not equipped for dewaxing, so for sunflower, maize, etc. a cold unit (winterisation tanks and a separator for wax separation) will need to be added.
